CRIMINAL COURT

CRIMINAL COURT

Criminal Law:  Defense attorney.

Case Requirements – Represent client(s) throughout all phases of criminal litigation,

file motions, research Criminal Code, investigation of ‘incident,’ questioning of witnesses,

discovery of information, filing court pleadings and appeal process.

Type of Cases – Felonies, misdemeanors and summary offenses.

Jury trials and non-jury trials, juvenile court.


CIVIL COURT

 

PERSONAL INJURY:  Plaintiff’s attorney.  Representation of clients against individual and

multiple defendants.

Case Requirements – communication and negotiation with insurance companies, medical

depositions, calculation of damages, prepare and file pleadings.

Representation in civil court actions.  Research of applicable state law.

Type of Cases – ‘slip and fall,’ auto accidents and worker’s compensation.

 

PROPERTY LAW:  Plaintiff’s attorney.  Representing landowners.

Case Requirements – professional information from surveyors and engineers,review of deeds,

utility company interest, review of local, state ordinances, prepare administrative as well as

court filings, legal briefs.

Type of Cases – property foreclosures, division of property in divorce actions, landlord/tenant,

sale of residential and commercial property closings, intellectual property, 

declaratory judgment.

 

BREACH OF CONTRACT:  Representation of clients against individual and

multiple defendants.

Case Requirements – review/research of applicable state and federal laws,

filing court pleadings, fact-finding, investigation of prior business dealings between parties, 

determine legality of contractual obligations, legal research.

Type of Cases – breach of contract, review of contracts i.e. copyright infringement,

contract on services rendered, conforming and non-conforming goods and written and oral

communications, divorce actions.

 

WILLS:  Representation of clients.

Case Requirements – research appropriate federal, state and local laws involved, filing court

pleadings, review and investigation of assets and liabilities, preparation of wills, 

codicil and business trust instruments.

Type of Cases – Probate of a Will, Contesting of Wills, Guardianship, administration of an

estate.


FAMILY LAW

Representation of Plaintiff or Defendant.

Specialty - Litigation

Case Requirements: Divorce, Child Support, Child Custody, Adoption and Protection From Abuse.

Prepare and File Legal pleadings such as. Divorce Complaint, Petition for Custody,

Modification of Child Support, Adoption, Conference, Financial and Medical Information,

Unemployment Compensation Appeals Referee: 

Case Requirements – disengagement from employment,

Unemployment Compensation Law, Appeals process.

 

Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission:  Representation of Employer and Claimant.

Case Requirements – investigate complaint, prepare all legal documents,

fact-finding conference, comply with all federal and state legal requirements and

legal research.

Type of Cases – employment and housing discrimination, sexual harassment, race, age

and gender discrimination.

 

Worker’s Compensation:  Claimants Attorney and Representation of Employer.

Case Requirements – medical depositions, legal research, file pleadings, 

communication with third party administrators, employer nature of injury.

Complete understanding of state process.

 

Labor/Arbitration:  Representation of Employer and individual plaintiff.

Case Requirements – review and investigate employment records, 

rules and regulations of employer, interview personnel, work histories,

Labor and Employment Laws, Union Contracts and research federal and state regulations.

Type of Cases – union grievances, wrongful discharge, disciplinary hearings,

personnel actions i.e. transfers, promotions, merit increases, leaves of absences, etc.


MUNICIPAL LAW

Case Requirements – Sunshine Act, Legislative Requirements, Property Tax Law.

Municipal Code Enforcement, Represent Municipality in Grievances, Labor Arbitrations and
Civil Litigation(s). Provide legal advice on the interpetation of State Statutes,as well as the legal
viability of resolutions, proposals and ordinances.  Governmental liability and immunity.


 FEDERAL COURT

Federal Court:  Representation of defendants in criminal matters and both plaintiff and

defendant in civil actions.

Case Requirements – review of applicable federal laws and criminal statutes,

conflict of laws matter, federal rules of evidence and appropriate legal investigations,

interview of witnesses and all others legal objectives involved in a particular litigation.


CIVIL RIGHTS:

Type of Cases – Civil Rights Act, Title VII - Racial Discrimination and Retaliation, Housing

Discrimination, Age Discrimination, Ethnic and Nationality Discrimination,
and violation of

federal statutes.

 

 DUE PROCESS HEARINGS

Represent School District:  Representation of School District Policy and compliance with

various state and federal mandated statutes.

Case Requirements – review applicable education law federal guidelines, state ordinances, 

prepare witnesses, present documented evidence perfect record for appeal.

Type of Cases – denied gifted status by school district, disability cases, suspensions,

special education and alternative education.
