Lacy R. Wheeler III
Lacy Wheeler was born and raised in Harlem, New York. Though his roots began in the projects of New York he excelled at school and was granted a scholarship to attend the prestigious St. John’s Preparatory School. After graduating at the top of his class Mr. Wheeler then attended Columbia University where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree . Some of the notable students who were enrolled at Columbia during Lacy’s tenure were U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and New York Governor David Patterson. Lacy then attended and graduated from Duquesne University, School of Law.
Mr. Wheeler has been an Attorney for 27 years and has his own private law practice( Lacy Wheeler Law Office), where he specializes as a litigation attorney. His areas of expertise are Municipal Law, Civil Law, Criminal Law, Family Law, Employment Law, Civil Rights, Real Estate and Commercial Transactions. Mr. Wheeler has also held senior management positions in both the private sector and public sector as well as taught 15 different law or law related courses on an undergraduate college level as an adjunct professor.
Mr. Wheeler has a deep rooted social and community consciousness which included leadership positions in the following organization: Co-Chairmen of (BALSA) Black American Law students Association at Duquesne University School of Law, Founder and President, Nu Upsilon Lambda Chapter, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Treasurer of the Yeadon, PA Democratic Party, NAACP Pennsylvania Statewide Attorney and 3rd Vice President.
Attorney Wheeler's training and experience make him uniquely qualified to represent his clients. However, he is also able to connect with his client(s) on a personal level as well. He is a Christian who has been married to his lovely wife Pamela for 20 years. They have a blended family that includes three boys, one girl and a granddaughter in her third year of college.
